Liverpool University (1981 - 1985), including one year placement with Home Office Directorate of Works in London. Degree in Building Services Engineering with Honours (B. Eng (Hons).
G Carter Construction Ltd - started Summer 1985, till January 2008.
Site Agent for 18 months, then Contracts Manager. Awarded Directorship in 1990
Achieved full Membership of the Chartered Institute of Building - 17th December 1996, and became Managing Director of G Carter Construction, same year.
Continued as MD, along with my father - Geoff, until his retirement in April 2001.
